Feel good first. Then get dressed.
Mental wellness is at the heart of Hatille. Here are small, real ways to lift your mood through colour and style, and the everyday basics that help you feel your best: movement, water, and dressing for the day you want.
Five daily rituals for a lighter mind.
None of these take more than ten minutes. Pick one to start with and add more as they become habits.
Morning light
Step outside or sit by a window within an hour of waking. Natural light helps set your body clock and lift your energy.
Slow breath
Breathe in for 4, hold for 4, out for 6. A few rounds calm a racing mind before a big moment.
Three good things
Each night, write down three things that went well. It trains your attention toward what's working.
Screen boundaries
No phone for the first and last 30 minutes of your day. Protect your mornings and your sleep.
Real connection
Call or meet one person you love each week. Connection is one of the strongest supports for wellbeing.
If you're struggling or thinking about suicide, help is available 24/7 in Canada. Call or text 9-8-8 to reach the Suicide Crisis Helpline. In an emergency, call 911.
How are you feeling today?
Colour and clothing can't fix a hard day, but they can shift how you carry it. Choose your mood for colours, an outfit idea and a small ritual.
Small style choices, big mood.
These little choices tell yourself that you matter, even on days you're not going anywhere.
- 01
Get dressed, even at home
Swap pyjamas for something soft but intentional. It signals "the day has started".
- 02
Wear the special piece on a Tuesday
Stop saving your favourite things for occasions. Joy is the occasion.
- 03
One joyful accessory
A bright scarf, gold earrings or a coloured bag lifts a neutral outfit and your energy.
- 04
Comfort you can feel
Cashmere, silk and brushed cotton feel calming against the skin. Choose texture on anxious days.
- 05
Plan tomorrow tonight
Laying out your outfit removes one decision from a stressful morning.
- 06
Edit what drains you
If something pinches, itches or makes you feel smaller, alter it, donate it or let it go.
Exercise you'll actually do.
Canada's movement guidelines for adults suggest at least 150 minutes a week of moderate-to-vigorous activity, muscle strengthening at least twice a week, and breaking up long periods of sitting.
- 01Walk for 20–30 minutes a day. Brisk walking counts, and it's one of the best mood boosters there is.
- 02Strength twice a week: squats, push-ups, lunges or a class. Strong feels good.
- 03Stand up and stretch every hour you sit.
- 04Dress the part. Activewear you love makes it easier to show up.
Hydration, beautifully.
A common guideline is about 9 cups (2.2 L) of fluids a day for women and 12 cups (3 L) for men, more when it's hot or you're active. Water is the best choice. Tap a glass each time you drink.
Your count is saved in this browser only and resets each day. Speak with your doctor about your own needs.
Dress for the day you want.
- 01Fit beats price. A tailored $80 blazer looks more expensive than an ill-fitting $800 one.
- 02Wear your colours near your face to look rested and confident on camera and in person.
- 03Build a capsule of 10–15 pieces that mix together, so every morning is easy.
- 04Mind the details: pressed fabric, clean shoes, minimal well-chosen jewellery.
- 05Dress one step above the room for interviews and big meetings.
